Sometimes
My Mind Wonders

Sometimes
my mind wonders when I dont have it locked down
I
try to keep it under lock and key, but when I am not looking it
is set free
It
loves to dive deep, deep within the sea, looking around at what
used to be
It
loves to lurk around castles, around caverns, around caves
One
day I caught it in an atom trying to persuade the proton and electron
to play
Sometimes
my mind wonders when I dont have it locked down
I
tried to keep it under lock and key, but when I was not looking
it was set free
I
have tracked it to the boardwalk where it was looking at trees
It
loves to take the stage with Shakespeare himself
One
day I caught it with a bomber, Oh, I mean, a stealth
Sometimes
my mind wonders when I dont have it locked down
I
no longer try to keep it under lock and key, I always set it free
We
have followed Ivy, the Oxonian barrister, through her daily deeds
We
went to England to meet the Queen of the Tudor Dynasty
One
day we went to the hill, to Lincoln, to sit at his knee
Sometimes
my mind wonders when I dont have it locked down
I
no longer keep it under lock and key, I always set it free
