Land
of the South
Doris
Niswonger McGohon
The
land of the south...
Land that I love.
The red clay...
symbolic of blood
that was shed so long ago.
Southern hospitality...
still belongs to this land.
The southern drawl...
like music to my ears.
Homes in the woods...
my dreams...
became a reality
in Birmingham, Alabama.
Mild temperatures...
the land of cotton and beauty.
Azalea, Camellia, and Jasmine...
are living poetry.
I long to go back...
To the land of the South...
Sweet home in
Alabama.
