You in the Other Room
Sherry Poff
With just the Door ajar
--Dickinson
In the time of sun and rain
It comes on the wind
In wisteria and forsythia,
Mockingbird and wren
In moon-lit nights and halcyon days
When quickened grass is singing green:
Longing so vast
I move in a dream.
It feels like magnolia
smells
Like the blues
